LEON WITAS Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project subsidized by European Funds entitled “Development and verification of an innovative product concept of an intelligent door system.” Sub-measure 1.1.1 is Industrial research and development carried out by enterprises under the Operational Program Intelligent Development 2014- 2020.
The subject of the project is to conduct advanced industrial research and experimental development work, which will result in the development and verification of the product concept of an intelligent door system (product innovation). The innovative door system will be based on new material, structural and mechatronic (IT) solutions, which will be the subject of research and development - validation and testing.
The effects will be verified on the basis of the developed results of research work, covering three main thematic areas integral to the concept of intelligent door systems, i.e.:
THEME NO. 1 - Application of plastics in door systems,
THEME NO. 2 - Application of magnetic and electromagnetic drives in door systems;
THEME NO. 3 - Application of distribution and access control system based on beacons in door systems.
Project value: 3,288,987.28 PLN
European Funds contribution: 2,350,593.26 PLN

The winning bid was submitted by the University of Silesia in Katowice.
